Measurement of partitions

Partitions
The measurement of partitions is referred to in NRM2 in three work sections; 16, 20 and 22. Which section to use often causes confusion.
Best practice
Section 16 is used when measuring 'traditional' timber stud partitions requiring the first fix members to be measured in linear meters. Linings are measured in square meters.
Section 20 is used when measuring proprietary, typically metal demountable partitions and are measured in square meters with doors openings included as extra over.
Section 22 is used when measuring proprietary timber partitions including cubicles. Again, these are measured in linear meters with door openings included as extra over
